Reiner Kallenborn studied mathematics at Saarbrücken University, Germany, where he graduated in 1982 (diploma thesis). From 1982 to 1984 he worked as a scientific assistant at the department of physics of Saarbrücken University. He completed his doctoral thesis in mathematics at Kaiserslautern University in 1987. After postdoctoral research in mathematics and high energy physics he became a library trainee at Kaiserslautern University. He pursued his studies in librarianship at Frankfurt library school, where he graduated in 1991. From 1991 until 1999 be served as a subject librarian and head of the branch library for mathematics and computer science as well as IT project manager at Technische Universität München Library. Apart from his involvement in library work he was a lecturer for statistical inference methods at Munich University of Applied Sciences. From 1999 to 2002 he was head of the department for public services at the same library. He currently is University Librarian of Technische Universität München. Reiner Kallenborn has served as the IATUL treasurer from 2005 to 2011. Since January 2013 Reiner Kallenborn is President of the International Association of University Libraries.

Şebnem Burnaz is professor of marketing and director of the Graduate School of Arts and Social Sciences at Istanbul Technical University. She received her Ph.D. degree in management -with major in marketing- from Bogazici University. She has been lecturing courses such as Principles of Marketing, Marketing Management, Retail Marketing, Marketing Research, Global Marketing, Consumer Behavior, Marketing Communications, Marketing Theory. Her research interests are in the fields of Marketing, Retailing, Decision Making, and Business Ethics. She published several articles and presented papers in leading conferences. She also acts as the director of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (ITU GINOVA) and the board member of Turkish Marketing Association.
Ahmet Emin Eroğlu 1963 yılında Ordu’da doğdu. Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi Kimya Bölümünü 1985 yılında bitirdi. Yüksek lisans ve doktora derecelerini, aynı bölümden Analitik Kimya alanında, sırayla 1988 ve 1996 yıllarında aldı. 1996-1998 yılları arasında, Sheffield Üniversitesi (BK) Analitik Bilimler Merkezinde doktora sonrası araştırmalar yaptı. 2000 yılında yardımcı doçent olarak katıldığı İzmir Yüksek Teknoloji Enstitüsünde, 2002 yılında doçent, 2007 yılında profesör oldu. Çeşitli numunelerdeki kirletici/toksik maddelerin spektrometrik ve kromatografik tekniklerle tayini üzerine metotlar geliştirmeye çalışmaktadır. Eroğlu, İzmir Yüksek Teknoloji Enstitüsünde araştırmalardan sorumlu rektör yardımcısıdır ve yeni yapılandırılan Araştırmalar Direktörlüğünü yönetmektedir.
Prof. Serkan Eryilmaz is currently the vice president for research at Atilim University. He is the present co-chair of the System Reliability technical committee of the European Safety and Reliability Association. He served as Associate Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Reliability, and is currently serving as an Area Editor of the IISE Transactions-Quality & Reliability Engineering. Professor Eryilmaz’s research interests include reliability, applied probability and stochastic modeling. He is the author of more than 140 international publications. He has received “TUBITAK Incentive Award” in 2017.
Born in Istanbul, 1974, Serkant Ali Çetin graduated from the Physics Department of Boğaziçi University in 1996 and later continued his graduate studies in the field of Experimental High Energy Physics. He completed MSc and Phd programmes in 1998 and 2003 respectively and received associate professor degree in 2004. Professor Çetin joined the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences of Istanbul Bilgi University in September 2015 and founded the High Energy Physics Research Center in March 2016. He is currently the director of this research center and also the vice rector of İstanbul Bilgi University. Professor Çetin acts as the national coordinator for the ATLAS and CAST experiments at CERN as well as the BES-III experiment at the Institute of High Energy Physics of China. He has co-authored many scientific papers that received substantial number citations. Serkant Ali Çetin received “Turkish Physical Society Professor Şevket Erk Young Scientist Award” in 2004, “Turkish Academy of Sciences Distinguished Young Scientist Award” in 2008, “Turkish Physical Society Professor Engin Arık Scientist Award” in 2015 and "Turkish Physical Society Honour Award" in 2017. Professor Çetin is married with one child.
He received his BA in International Relations (1998) from Istanbul University, Faculty of Political Sciences and his master's degrees in European Law from Marmara University European Union Institute and in Information Studies from Aberystwyth University in Wales. He joined Sabancı University in 2005. After several duties in the Information Center, he has been appointed as Director in May 2013. He has also been acting as a board member of Anatolian University Libraries Consortium (ANKOS).
Simone Sacchi is the EU Projects Manager at LIBER, the Association of European Research Libraries, where he drives the agenda and oversee the work across all the international project partnership LIBER participates in. Simone came to LIBER with more than 15 years experience working in academic libraries and research centers, first at the University of Bologna, Italy and then at Columbia University in city of New York, USA. His research and professional agenda addresses topics in Open Science, Scholarly Communication and Digital Stewardship, with a strong emphasis on the “human factor” necessary to ensure the success of research libraries in supporting 21st century world class research and scholarship. Simone holds a Ph.D. in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA, and a Masters Degree in Library Science from the University of Parma, Italy.
Judy Verses is Executive Vice President, Research at Wiley. As such she is responsible for Wiley’s global journal publishing business, and related magazines, databases, software and websites for the research community. Judy is also a member of Wiley’s Executive Leadership Team. She joined Wiley on October 24 2016and is based in Hoboken and Oxford.

Previously, she had been President and Chief Client Officer at Blackboard, a leading supplier of educational enterprise software, overseeing global sales and marketing, and President and COO at Blackboard Learn. From 1983 to 2007, Judy held several senior leadership roles at telecommunications giant Verizon (among them SVP Marketing, SVP Broadband Solutions, and VP Business Sales), where she successfully launched Verizon FiOS. She earned her B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Connecticut and began her career with Xerox in sales.

Ayhan Kaygusuz has been library director of Istanbul Şehir University since 2010. He worked as library director of Istanbul Technical University for 13 years and Abant Izzet Baysal University for one year. Before that he worked for public library authority under the Ministry of Culture and run ISBN Agency and ISSN Center. Between 2000 and 2007 he was steering committe member and then president of ANKOS (Anatolian University Libraries Consortium). He is interested in information literacy, open access and institutional repositories. He has been actively working on these subject areas with a group of library directors in Turkey.
His long-term involvement in digital asset management and the provision of aligned services in the scientific community have provided him with a thorough knowledge of technical systems and the requirements of the academic world. In 1991, he headed the realization of the first Current Research Information System (CRIS/ DonKey) of the University of Vienna (1991-1998). From 2006 to 2016, he led as Managing Director the development of the digital archiving system for RDM of the University of Vienna, which also serves as Institutional Repository of the University (Phaidra, 2007-2016). Today Phaidra is used in 5 European countries and is running at 16 institutions (among them the Austrian National Funding Agency FWF).
Thanks to his engagement, the University of Vienna has participated in the projects like Europeana and OpenAIRE/OpenAIREplus and “TEMPUS in the Western Balkan Region” In the LEARN project, he focused on stakeholder engagement, RDM-policy development and alignment, impact and advocacy. He also offers his experience in the use of foreign languages in multi-national settings, his ability to plan and organise work programs and his good understanding of linkages between policies and cooperative practices.

Milan Vasiljević holds МA degree in Library and information Science from the University of Belgrade, Serbia and MLS from University College London. He has more than ten years of professional experience in various types of libraries. During the last six years main area of his interest are electronic resources. He is a big advocate for Open Access and more sustainable subscription models. He works at Qatar National Library as Manager of Electronic Resources and Licensing department.
Sami Çukadar completed his undergraduate and graduate studies in Information and Document Management at Istanbul University and his BA in Economics at Anadolu University.
Sami Cukadar is the Library Director at Istanbul Bilgi University Library and e-Resources in Istanbul, Turkey. He is also an academic staff at Istanbul Bilgi University Faculty of Law and teaches “Research Methods and Accessing Legal Information Resources” to the first year Law School students.
Mr. Çukadar is also active in non-governmental organizations in the field of librarianship and information management. He is the board member of the Anatolian University Libraries Consortium and coordinator of UNAK-Turkish Platform of Law Librarians. He has written and made studies on fields of total quality management, distance learning and university libraries. His current research focuses on legal information, information literacy, distance education, university libraries, consortiums and ERM
After obtaining his BSc (Middle East Technical University, Ankara) and MSc in Economics (University of Vienna), he gained his PhD from the University of Munich in 2008. Until 2005 Kabadayı has mainly worked on economic, financial and labour history of the Ottoman Empire. Since October 2016 he is the principle investigator of the, UrbanOccupationsOETR an ERC Starting Grant Research Project, (urbanoccupations.edu.tr) at Koç University. Currently he is pursuing his academic career further as an economic historian focusing on the Ottoman Empire, Bulgaria, Greece, and Turkey.
Ertuğrul Çimen is the Library Director of MEF University.
He has an active role in NGO’s and professional organisations at national and international level. Mr. Çimen has been serving Coordinatior of ANKOS Academy and ANKOS Collaboration Study Groups, he is also the Information Coordinator of IFLA Document Delivery & Resourse Sharing Standing Committee.
Mr. Çimen is the editorial board member of Interlending & Document Supply Journal (Emerald Publishing, England) and International Journal of Knowledge Management & Practices (IJKMP, India). He has several presentations and published papers about resource sharing & document delivery, library consortiums, collaborations, staff exchange programs, electronic resources management, library consortiums, social media in libraries.
Michele manages relations with international members and partners for DuraSpace. He initiates efforts to broaden and extend the organizational reach in support of the preservation and accessibility of cultural heritage and academic resources globally.
Before joining DuraSpace, Michele was International Business Development Manager at 4Science, an organization that supports universities, research and cultural institutes in managing and realizing digital projects using open source technologies.
Prior to his work at 4Science and DuraSpace, Michele was responsible for International Relations and Business Development at Cineca, a Consortium of over 70 Italian universities and the Ministry of Higher Education, creating strategic partnerships with national and international organizations around the world.
Michele is a Board Member, Executive for External Relations at euroCRIS (the International Organization for Research Information) and he was Board Member of EUNIS (European University Information Systems Association) for 4 years.
Originally from Ireland, Kilian McGetrick has lived for 10 years in Sydney, Australia, 10 years in London and for the past 4 years in Heidelberg, Germany. He has been working as a Global Solutions Consultant for the Converis Team in Karlsruhe Germany since 2014 back when it was a start-up company called Avedas, which then joined the Thomson Reuters and now is part of Clarivate Analytics. He mainly introduces the Current Research Information System, Converis, to customers and demonstrates how it supports the research lifecycle.
Shadi Awwad has an educational background in Chemistry and Health Services Policy & Research from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. Shadi has worked in national policy and organizational development at the Executive Offices of His Majesty the King of Jordan, and business development within the private sector. Joining Elsevier in 2014, Shadi is the regional expert managing Elsevier’s Research Intelligence portfolio in Turkey, the Middle East, Central Asia, Bulgaria and Romania. He also has a diverse heritage and cultural background, calling both the USA and Jordan his home. He is married to Sema, originally from Izmir, Turkey, and has two daughters, Jayda and Ayla. He is an avid underwater diver, and has a passion for exploring coral reefs and wreckages around the world.
Özden Demircioğlu Faydalıgül completed her gradute education at Hacettepe University Faculty of Letters at the Library Science Program in 2004, and completed her post-graduate program at Institute of Social Sciences at the department of Information Management in 2007. She completed her training program at The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey and Middle East Technical University. During 2002-2005, she worked as a part-time librarian at Bilkent University, 2005 as a librarian at English Club Language School, and between 2005-2009 worked as an educator at Gazi University; and taught “Medical Librarianship”, “Information retrieval in Medicine and Health” at this university. During 2009-2017, she provided services in electronic resources and user education as a specialist, and she prepared “ADÜ Library Newsletter” which was issued regularly for nine years. In 2013, she attended personnel mobility under the Project Erasmus and observed library services at Università Degli Studi L’aquila. Since April 2017, she is the director of the center of Library and Documentation.
She has a “first rank award ” at her department from Hacettepe University, İhsan Doğramacı Outstanding Achievement Award, and Ministry of Culture and Tourism Achievement Award. Besides, she has International and National Conference Reports, Peer Reviewed-Articles and academic poster works. She is married and has a daughter.
Bülent Karasözen was born in Eskişehir-Turkey in 19.11.150. He studied at the Technical University Berlin from 1968 until 1974, where he received his master degree in Mechanical and Process Engineering. He received his PhD in System and Control Engineering in 1981 from the same University. He joined in 1982 to Mathematics Department of Middle East Technical University (METU) in Ankara. He was the director of the Institute of Applied Mathematics, METU from March 2012- November 2017. Since November 2017, he is retired from METU. His research interests include numerical analysis, dynamical systems, optimization and scientific computing. He has been visiting researcher at Rice, Carnegie Mellon, Darmstadt, Berlin, Geneva and Rostov on Don with the Fulbright, TUBITAK, NSF and DAAD scholarship. He managed many international projects and organized numerous international conferences and summer schools. He coauthored more than 100 journal articles, book chapters, and proceedings articles and recived more than 400 citations. He co-edited 10 journal special issues and proceedings. He worked as the library director of METU in the years 1993-2007 and he was the founding member and head of the ANKOS (Anatolian University Libraries Consortium) from 2001 to 2007.
Gultekin Gurdal was graduated from Hacettepe University Library Science Program (currently the Information Management Program) in 1990 and completed his MBA degree from Kocaeli University.
He has been continuing to be the Library Director at Izmir Institute of Technology (IYTE) since 2005. He has previously held positions at Bilkent University, The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey, Sabanci University and TOBB University.
He served as the Chairman of the Anatolian University Libraries Consortium (ANKOS) between the years 2008 and 2012. Currently, he serves as the Coordinator of the ANKOS Open Access and Institutional Repositories Working Group. He is recently working especially on the Open Access studies and after OpenAIREPlus project partner that was completed at the end of December 2014, he is now an OpenAIRE2020 project partner. Also, last year he was elected as one of the members of the Open Science Committee which was founded by The Turkish Scientific and Technological Research Council.
He keeps active membership with the following organizations; Turkish Librarian' Association (TKD), University and Research Librarians Association (UNAK), Anatolian University Libraries Consortium (ANKOS), Ligue des Bibliothèques Européennes de Recherche - Association of European Research Libraries (LIBER), The Confederation of Open Access Repositories (COAR), The European Organisation for International Research Information (EuroCRIS), International Association of Scientific and Technological University Libraries (IATUL).

Ece Helvacioglu was born in Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in 1988. She studied at the Department of Information and Record Management at Ankara University, then studied MBA (Management of Business Administration) at Yaşar University. She has been in charge of Electronic Resources and Purchase since 2010 in Yaşar University Library and Information Center. Helvacioglu has taken part in Turkish Librarians Association as executive board member between 2012 and 2017. Since 2015, she has been working as a Database Liaison and a Member of Public Relations Group at ANKOS.
Born in Istanbul in 1985, Elif Mine Karadeniz graduated from Hacettepe University, Department of Information Management in 2008. After graduating from Anadolu University Public Relations (2007) and Business Administration (2012), she started her master education in Management and Organization and is still in thesis stage. Elif Mine Karadeniz has worked at AR-GE Centers of various companies in ODTU TEKNOKENT and Bilkent CYBERPARK. She has been working as a librarian in Kocaeli University Library since 2011. Since April 2017, she has been working as a Database Liaison and a Member of Statistics Group at ANKOS.
She completed her undergraduate and graduate education at Istanbul University Library Science Program.
Ms. Ekingen has academic studies and publications in various national and international conferences on resource sharing and library collaboration in academic libraries, and s currently working in various associations in the field of librarianship such as the Turkish Librarians Association.
And still works in the ANKOS (Anatolian University Libraries Consortium) as the database administrator and in the Cooperation Working Group at the same association.
Born in 1976, Osman Soykan completed his high school in Famagusta Turkish Maarif College in 1993. He obtained his undergraduate degree from Ankara University Faculty of Humanities, Department of Library Science in 1997. In 1999, Soykan started to work at Eastern Mediterranean University Library, where he undertook duties at the Cataloging and Classification Unit for a period of five years. In 2004, Soykan was appointed as the Director of the Eastern Mediterranean University Library. In his professional career, Soykan has undertaken various duties in Licence Agreements and Academia Working Groups of the Anatolian University Libraries Consortium (ANKOS). Soykan is also the President of the Cyprus Turkish Librarians Association.
Üstün Berk Sezgin completed his bachelor’s degree (2008) and master degree (2015) in Ankara University - Information and Records Management. He worked as sales consultant at Mikrobeta Yazılım in 2009. He worked as a librarian at Atılım University Library from 2010 to 2011 and Ankara University Library and Documentation Department from 2011 to 2017. Üstün Berk Sezgin has been working at METU (Middle East Technical University) Library since December 2017.
